Infinite Justice: Waist 2
I think that I'll just bump map the remaining detail as I would like to keep this mesh from getting out of control and messy looking. Labels: Infinite Justice |

While going through the waist sections, I thought to myself about how very detailed some of these newer ones I'm fiddling around with seem to be compared to, oh.. the Strike. Like the Zeta Gundam, I'll probably go back and fix that one up as well... Oh, yes.. made a wee bit of the IJ waist... Labels: Infinite Justice |
Jiggling around some of these polies yet still. The arms are looking ok, but the hands are monstrously bad. I'll have to ditch the armor and start anew on that. Labels: Zeta ver 2 |
While I've gotten farther on the chest and abdomen portion, the frame on the inside is still lacking. Got to finish that up and clean up the back area where the lifter will connect... Labels: Infinite Justice |
As basic as it is, the body is coming along slowly. A meeting with a little drinking last night makes for some slow progress. Labels: Infinite Justice |
Flip flopping around. Actually, I'm still sifting through refs for the Ijustice, so in order to keep modeling "something" and posting it, I'm also going through the Zeta arms and redoing them a bit. Some parts stand out much more on the Version 2 than the Version 1 so they're getting shuffled around a bit to look updated... Labels: Zeta ver 2 |
The detail may be quite a bit off. Really pixilated (low res) references distort the image a lot so some of this is guessed, but usable. I'll just chalk it up as "personalization". Otherwise, it's not really finished yet... Labels: Infinite Justice |
Quite honestly, I never really liked Infinite Justice, but having the Saviour done (and conveniently a very nice looking MG plastic version has appeared) means that finishing the Destiny compliment of main MS's would be, um... proper. As is the usual, I started with the MG freedom head and worked around it. Some of the parts are from the saviour and whatnot. Kind of a franken-Ijustice. Whenever more sources on the IJ come up, I'll continue onward. For now, relying on the net and hobby japan/dengeki hobby. The "almost head". Labels: Infinite Justice |
Hard to be 100% sure on anything like this, but the cannon seems to be getting along there. The surfacing isn't final, just placeholder-ish. Labels: Weapons |
The weapon being held by the sniper in the rear is what I'm gunning for at the moment. Another one by Windfall that I had been wanting to get to but for lack of "umph" never really did... ...so, going... Labels: Weapons |
Again, not much change in the initial V1 design. All I really did was stretch and tweak a few places and add a little detail. The side waist area I really liked on the V1 I kept intact on the V2 because the latter version looks very stale to me. Otherwise some stretching pulling and a few bits and bobs here and there. Labels: Zeta ver 2 |
There are a lot of things I liked about the V1 Zeta that I dont want to remove from the V2... hence many areas of detail remain the same as the V1, though curved/slanted/re addressed for the V2's slight change in shape. Labels: Zeta ver 2 |
The ring from which the Voitre Luminear propulsion system was made famous in Seed Destiny/Stargazer fandom. It seems to be of sufficient size at the moment, but missing some detail. I may enlarge and engorge it to be of similar size to the width of the destinys wings... --edit: In the case that the viewer hasn't caught on, this is the destiny gundam with a the stargazer's ring. This is being worked on as a conversion from the "reverse" that I usually do. Thus, the head will probably be last while I work on the legs, arms and body. Labels: Stargazer |
And indeed, here a lot of it is. Of course, the ring is missing, but the mechanics of the backpack are otherwise in place and should work once the ring is done. Going to have to do some massive replacement surgery on this MS. Labels: Stargazer |
Stargazer (spitz) is a song my wife and I enjoy listening to a lot. She's shoving off for Osaka for a few months so I figured a "Stargazer" would be....well...appropriate, despite being more of a Zeon fan. Starting from the backpack this time (ooh, aaah) and using the Destiny as a base MS as was done for the Legend. Loads of gundams on my plate this month..... Labels: Stargazer |
I've actually been staring at this one for a few weeks, but considering the high render times for smoke hypervoxels, I decided to leave it where it is until I have time to just let the workstation ruuuuuuun and ruuuuuun. Labels: 3d, CG, saviour ver2 |
Fiddle de dee!!! The head is finally.. close!!! :D I should have gotten this far before starting the saviour image.... Labels: Zeta ver 2 |
Damn, I haven't done any rendering in a while!! And it shows!! Definately need to get into more of this when possible. Ultimately, though... I need a new machine soon! Labels: 3d, CG, saviour ver2 |
Mentioned that I had a strong urge to return to previous meshes and update them. Worked on the Zeta 2 years ago but that mesh was based on the version 1 MG. Looks chubby. Going back to the earliest stages to try to make it look like the version 2 that came out sometime after. Some of the changes look subtle enough... Again, my attention wanders...;) Labels: Zeta ver 2 |
The backpack is close, but I've forgotten some detail on the actual body itself. It's like being some kind of giddy kid who wanders off to do something else but forgets to clean up. Labels: Hyaku Shiki |
Ran like a wild man yesterday and woke up to some pain in the old legs. Hopefully this doesn't set me back on any more training. Saw Gundam 00's new season yesterday. Seems like it's been a long time. Doesn't look too bad, yet again. Still wholly unmotivated to start some 00 meshes though -- I'm surprised an MG from that series hasn't surfaced yet given the otherwise high profile modeling blitz Bandai put out...perhaps if/when an MG magically surfaces... For the Hyaku Shiki....Forgot to activate smoothing settings for the surfaces and this time I need to cut back on the hard edges some more and raise the head a little. Labels: Hyaku Shiki |
Was hoping to get more done in the last few days but have been snowballed with business... mostly the upcoming marathon. Ugh! It's cold in Aomori... Labels: Hyaku Shiki |
Could there be any surprise? As usual, need to pound out some dents and rearrange a few points -- sharpen up a few more areas. But it's not that shabby. Labels: Hyaku Shiki |
