Saviour Gundam: Surface 1

Trudging through the surfaces for the last few weeks a little at a time. Not even close to done yet. Don't know why they keep painting these machines the way they do. You'd think a "low visibility" version would be ideal...

Hyaku Shiki: GO!

msn00100
Got the Gundam MKII and Zeta Gundam going, not to mention the Nemo but the Type100 is late in the game in coming. What I find interesting as well is the striking similarity between that and the Delta Gundam (and Delta Plus by extension). The reasons are obvious though. At any rate, I thought about the future for a second when I came about thinking of this one.

..also, marathon training (at this time of year -- pretty much every year) usually leaves me with little time to do much so I'm procrastinating the Xamel a bit. Normally I do nothing at all during late August/September.

Starting the head... not much new there though, huh.

Rick Dom: Legs

Had problems with hard drives again. Sad that it took a month to get back to this guy. The leg frame still hasn't been finished, but it's looking like it's getting closer by the day.

F-95JD: GO!

Ninjascience sent a ton of reference pics of the F95jd and so the urge to make it came to me.... Started it while everyone's eyes were averted.....
Figured I could throw it together using the "old" impulse mesh parts and some of the gundam KA. Who knows.

Saviour Gundam V2: Head

Though I believed I could salvage the previous version of the Saviour I had shuffled through (years ago), it ended up being full of pitfalls so I started from the "Freedom" head and worked around it until I came out with a "suitable" shape ...mmmm... which means it probably isn't "perfect"... but it might be pretty close. The result of the Impulse to Saviour transformation is thus.

Saviour Gundam V2: Upper Torso

Basically I stuck with the Impulse's torso and just modified it so that some of the features would match the Saviour. The chest intakes had armor built around it and the center of the torso has been replaced with a Saviour-like version, built around the original Impulse. Need to raise it up a bit and rebuild the head section (after lifting that as well).

Saviour Gundam V2: Waist / Legs

Changed the front waist and rear section up a little, but still used parts from the Impulse to keep it looking "same family"-ish. The upper legs are identical to the Impulse with the exception of the (primate analog of the) quadriceps which have been lowered a bit. The lower leg wasn't as easy to follow through with as I thought it would be. I wanted that section to fit perfectly with the Impulses lower leg so I adjusted a few things to fit.

Saviour Gundam V2: Arms

Basically I used arms from the Impulse but took the shoulder guards from the original Saviour I made and gussied them up using parts from the Impulse for augmentation. That is -- since the Impulse was also augmented I figured I might as well do the same to the Saviour. There is a smaller set of verniers above the shoulder mounted beam sabers as well.

Full Armor Gundam: Legs

Sat down to get the legs going. Too much guessing, which was what I was afraid of. Some of Katoki's work is difficult to get a look at using just images, but I gave it a go. Some resizing of parts was required to get the leg armor looking ok, but some parts are really iffy. Back to the drawing board on this one.
