Aegis: Legs 2
Making progress on legs and some of the arms again. More than a few areas need more detailing and better geometry setup, especially I think in the shoulder areas.

Aegis: Legs 1
Moving bits here and there for the legs based on the arms. They aren't exactly the same, however, so some changes to the geometry are being done. They are similar enough to avoid a lot of work. I feel like this rig is getting complicated.

Aegis: Arms 1
The holidays have been over for a while but I'm only now getting to this. I find it interesting how similarly the arms and legs are built, but I guess it's because of how symmetric the mobile armor is in the end. Still, I have lots of detail left to cover and some placeholders to get rid of. |

Aegis: Body 1
Haven't stopped on this one. But does make me realize that there just isn't much time in daily life to do this, even if it's for a few minutes at a time. Still, I'm fascinated with the transform ability so I'm motivated by that.

Aegis: Head 2
Ok, I've actually done better sticking with this than I thought I would. The head so far is a wee bubbly and has some smoothing errors. Also missing some bits. Feels great to have made one again!

Aegis: Head 1
I recall being able to pump one of these things out seemingly almost every other month. I highly doubt I can do that now, but it would be fun to try. Here's to the start. I had forgotten most of the tools and shortcuts I used for making these so I don't think this will be a quick job. I wanted to make this one basically because the old Zeta-esque transformation is kind of boring, and many of the other mobile suit transformations are either obvious or not really tranformations. Aegis does a damn good job of making me scratch my head and ask "what went where??" It'll be fun to figure this one out. Here's to the start! |
