Ran 21Km today, so I'm pooped and my legs are killing me. I'll probably not do much for a few days... So, my "idea" was to attach a "nose" section to the waist so that it would appear to be more "aerodynamic" when it's flying on its own. The nose would then be able to swivel back when it needed to dock with the core splendor/chest flyer. I added some support boosters on the front and rear skirts to keep the boost going despite the extra mass. Still playing with the idea. Labels: Impulse ver2 |
The leg flyer section begins here. Basically taking the previous Impulse's waist and modifying it while screwing around with destiny's "stomach" section to come out with something usable. I had another idea for the waist section that I might try to implement... Labels: Impulse ver2 |
Thar she blows (most of er). I wanted the shoulder verniers to rotate around to provide thrust when in chest flyer mode, so did that. Afterward, I saw someone (possibly in a magazine) use what looked to be part of freedom's beam rifle (the PS armored portion) and attach it to the Impulses. Thought I'd see what it would come out to be, but I might just remove it in the end. Labels: Impulse ver2 |
Still needs more detail. I forgot the "screws" and some plates in the inner shield. I'll probably bump map the rest like the rifle. Sometimes going back to the older version doesn't work well, as I learned here. Labels: Impulse ver2 |
I was hoping the shield would be closer to what I made for the previous Impulse, but it differs enough to start some parts again. Detailing what I think should get more stuff based on what I've now been informed about it. Labels: Impulse ver2 |

And....close. Wanted the upper arms to shift a bit and have the top of the shoulder guards rotate so that the chest flyer could use the verniers as boosters as well. The upper arms seem to have collapsed into the forearms in the rig... Still fiddling with it until it looks right. Labels: Impulse ver2 |
Way behind where I wanted to be at this time, but it really can't be helped. Work and training are still going at me so only the shoulder armor has been started. Thinking of a mish mash between impulse and nu/ex-s but without the latter's largesses especially since it feels like I've already built this shoulder armor before.... Labels: Impulse ver2 |

My wife and I are doing some cardio and abs to help out my actual stomach and get in better shape for the upcoming marathon. Training for that is cutting even more into gundam meshing... but anyway.
