Astray: Arms 2

Still messing around on the arms. Wanted to keep with Bee-crafts original PG design which keeps more of the strike look on the upper arms but leaving a little of what the PG has at the very top. Kind of giving the Astray some big old pop-eye arms there by doing that, but still thinking on whether I'll keep the look or return to the actual PG Astray design. As far as detail, it's a mix up. There seem to be some off points, like the disk-design in the forearm being too small and not raised enough, elbow joints don't look like the original PG version, etc. Could go on for quite a while on that.

I dunno man. I think you should work on the legs first before you make a decision on the arms. Considering how large the legs are on the Astray, the arms may be just the right size. Just a thought. Looks great so far though!

Personally I was thinking you should reference all the Astray version, including the HG 1/100 and the Manga drawings if you got them or have access to them. That may help you better decide what parts/ looks you are going for. For example, the arm joint with the open cavity and what looks like a cylinder or something round can be seen in the HG, Manga and the original PG drawing. Personally I like that looks as it gives yet another distinguishing detail for this design. Just the same, the nodes/ hard points that are present on the thighs of the original PG design/ Manga/ HGs (Blue Frame mounts knives off them). I'm not sure why that were dropped from the PG final design, and to be honest I was a bit disappointed that got changed. Either way, I'm sure you're going to do Astray justice, sucks that I've anticipated seeing this MS done only to have so many of it's distinctive features changed for reasons I've yet to discover.
