Dendrobium Orchis: Complete

And finally the Dendrobium Orchis is done-ish. The only thing it's missing is the demolition chain, but I guess I'll just make something up for it. I might opt for flashy logos on it if I get bored of just staring at it. They would at least help to accentuate some parts of the design.

Dendrobium Stamen: Folding Bazooka

So, the folding bazooka for the Dendrobium Stamen / Orchis. Figured there should be something in those weapons containers. :p

Dendrobium Orchis: Weapons Box 1

Finally getting to the weapons containers. I have the container bits in place, and of course the folding shield and extra beam rifle for the GP03 Stamen, but I have yet to model the folding bazooka, micro missle containters and large missile containters. I have no idea what I'm going to do for the demolition chain either. Sure would be nice to get the Gerbera Tetra mobile suit modelled as well.... probably too much to do right now as it is.

Dendrobium Orchis: Cannon

Mr cannon is mostly there. I think it's a bit off as far as centering goes, but it should be not too bad. When the modelling's done I'll go in and resize things to fit better. Dendrobium Orchis is almost there....

Dendrobium Orchis: I-Field Gen

Added a bit of detail to the body and the I-Field Generator. The detail is beginning to look more like a custom job than a model with any sort of accuracy. Oh, well... at least it looks close ;)

Cripes, I finally have something that's not horrible looking. After many retries, it's starting to come out ok. Still many things that aren't correct about it though. Not giving up on this bastard.

Whew!!! I had to sit down with a pencil and paper to figure this one out. A little planning and some days later, the body is coming out ok. I figured that this would be the most difficult part, especially in that I wouldn't know where to start from. Anyway, it's coming along ok. Now I'm just adding some detail to make it look busy. The orchis is so organicy...

Aside from an obvious rigging error (in the lower legs), the GP03S is done being rigged and clean textured. Now on to the Dendrobium Orchis

Dendrobium Stamen: Folding Shield

CRIPES!! I haven't updated in days! I'm such a lazy bum! Ok, the folding shield. It surely will fold when the rigging is done ;)

Dendrobium Stamen: Beam Rifle

Finally getting my lazy arse around to the beam rifle. I should have had this entire Gundam colored already, but sitting back on the couch sure is nice once in a while. :)

Working on the GP03 booster/connector to the Dendrobium Orchis. Still in progress of course ;)

Dendrobium Stamen: Legs 1

Whew, roundy legs kind of bite in the first place but having to cut into them and add extra stuff lengthens the amount of time it takes for me to finish. Almost done. Need to get the ankles and leg sensor.

Dendrobium Stamen: "Gimmick" Arms

The gimmick arms used to retrieve weapons from the Orchis' weapons drawers are functional..though not very pretty yet. :p

And then the GP03 arms, including the gimmic system for pulling out the weapons drawers from the Orchis.

The GP03 waist is done. I think that I'll wait for the waist boosters for last along with the Dendrobium booster/clamps on the back of the body.

Moving along with the GP03 body. At this point I've only opted for the solid, panoramic cockpit configuration. I'll try for the core fighter configuration after I finish the armament.

Dendrobium Stamen Orchis Project

Starting the Dendrobium project!! YAY!! Ok, so the Dendrobium is what I'll refer to this in a kind of off-center way, though when I refer to a specific model, I'll call the mobile suit the "STAMEN" or the "GP03" and the Mobile Weapons platform the "ORCHIS". This is one of my favorite Gundams in the sum of the Gundam Universes (actually mine is the GP01 Zephyranthes)... Anyway, without wasting any more time.. And the modelling of the Dendrobium STAMEN head.
