Evolve Strike Gundam: Shield 1

Started on the shield by modifying the previous Strike's shield. Thus far it looks as it does below. Problem is, I've got to head to Tokyo tomorrow for business and stay till Saturday, then it's off to Osaka till the beginning of December. So no more work on this till then. Might see if I can get a render going while I'm out.

Evolve Strike Gundam: GO!!

Been spending the last few days going through the Zeta and Justice surfaceing but remembered that I wanted to redo the Strike Gundam. I think that quite a few people asked me why I made the version of the Strike that I did instead of the Evolve version (most commonly referred to as the "PG version"). The answer was always that "it was enough" or that the evolve strike was "not necessarily accurate" compared to the actual series. I still believe those statements but going through so many of the newer machines that have MG incarnations, I thought that the Strike deserved another chance... so here it is.

But instead of the Head as the start, I went with the Beam Rifle. How's that for a change? :D
Still a work in progress. I'm scrounging parts from the previous mesh and simply re-detailing/scaling them. Updates may be slow though.

Zeta Gundam V2: Armament

As I have before, I generally went back to older versions of the previous zeta mesh and stretched/reformed a lot of the geometry so that it would look closer to the newer incarnation. Still, needs a few bits here and thar, but in general I can see it coming out well in the end.... woo hoo!!

Zeta Gundam V2: Wings 1

...Or something like that. Trying to refab the wings from the ver 1 mesh. Some parts have been completed while others have not. Needs a lot more detail that I think I'll try to hard model in. Got a business trip in Tokyo coming up next week and them some vacation time. Would like to finish this before then...

Zeta Gundam V2: Stabilizer

Took the old Ver 1 stabilizer, stretched and skewed it a bit, then added a few more sections of detail. The smaller stuff I'll yet again bump out.

Zeta Gundam V2: Legs 2

They look a whole heckuva lot straighter than they did on the older Zeta, not to mention longer and more slender looking. Still needs some finishing touches on the leg frame and some surface maps to get the seams.

Zeta Gundam V2: Legs 1

Taking a break from surfacing Ijustice to get to some more of the Zeta that I left behind there. The legs look thinner and sharper on the newer zeta versions so I'm leaning towards that.

Infinite Justice: Fatum01 Lifter 3

Still going. Instead of the gigantic "Grand Slam" attached to the shield, I decided that I would simply add more "beam" weapons. The X-09A Justice had beam boomerangs on the shoulders, so for the X-19 Infinite Justice I took the shoulder guard spikes and converted them into those boomerangs.

Last, 2 beam sabers attached to the forarms serve to give the unit a total of 12 beam (swords) if the Fatum booster is counted (2 on shoulders, 2 on the shanks, 2 on the forarms, 2 on the shield, 2 on the side skirt 2 on the wings of the lifter).

Infinite Justice: Fatum01 Lifter 2

Getting there slowly. The last two days have been some pretty busy ones. I'm thinking the grand slam needs to be reviewed on this since it seems to kill look a little.

Infinite Justice: Legs

I was looking through some of the new hobby mags and came across a OOgundam seven swords. I wondered if adding more beam sabers/ swords to the Ijustice would work similarly...
I attached the grand slam onto the shield and while there isn't any collision problem to speak of yet, I suspect that the lifter will probably be hit when it is attached so I might scrap that idea or mod it a wee little.

Infinite Justice: Shield + Grapple Stinger + Beam Boomerang

While working on this thing it hit me that there was no "can opener" given to the Justice. Granted plenty of "beam" weapons, but no hard matter weapons. Wondered about attaching the grand slam to the shield for kicks.

Infinite Justice: Beam Rifle

One of the more interesting and complex looking beam rifle designs in the CE universe in my opinion... Almost there. Always seems like something is missing when I cook one of these test renders up. Indeed, the two round notches at the front end of the weapon are missing.....
