S-Gundam: Backpack 2
Crap, made the boosters too wide. Otherwise, it's kinda close. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]

Set aside some time for the legs. Kind of went screwy on the vents though so I'll have to get to those again. Labels: S-Gundam
Gotten the waist and most of the waist mounted wings. The rig is definitely one of the more complex in the field of mobile suits, which I don't really enjoy thinking about. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
The waist is a bit strange as it's so hollow and seems more important as a part of the transformation than similar parts of other machines. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Screwing around with the lower (waist) cockpit block, which I guess makes a total of 3 cockpits for this machine. Not much to look at right now though. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Actually forgot to construct the rotating wing section on the top of the shoulders last time. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Getting closer, but no cigar yet. A lot of stuff is left to do on even just the shoulders alone. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Reworking the zeta plus's lower arms to look more like the S-Gundam arms. Getting on those shoulder thrusters at the same time. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Not a giant leap, but a lot of the cockpit block is there. I'll probably just detail the inside when I get done with this machine. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Thrown in but without the front cockpit block attached. Forgot all about that little bugger. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Crap, it transforms, but I'm not sure how correct the rig is at the moment. I'll probably have to fix it a little. I also forgot to model the front wings in my haste to put this out as I'm lagging behind with so many other things to do. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Workin on that corefighter. Basically modifying the Gundam Ver KA corefighter to the one used by the S-Gundam. Doesn't seem to be coming out too badly as of yet. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Still at it. Some details are probably scaled to large against the mesh. I'll have to fix that as well. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Sat down today for a little bit with the body. Having difficulty concentrating at the moment. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Kind of moving around a bit with the neck and collar. I'm still thinking about the best approach for getting the head as I'm not quite where I want to be. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Late night parties after work are nice sometimes. Finally getting back to this one, but not much progress tonight. I'll probably round out and extend the vents a bit. Labels: S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst]
Kinda like the last gm (kai) image I rendered out. Wow, that was a while ago too. Labels: 3d, CG, Powered GM, render
...for now. Literally this is built off of the GM mesh from before so a lot of stuff is not quite what it is on the actual Powered GM. The backpack is dropped a bit too far I think and the crotch section should be raised. Then a few more bump maps. The 'AB' logo is just a placeholder. Not that much left to do. Labels: Powered GM
Modifying the GM command made previously into the Powered GM. Shouldn't be that bad. Labels: Powered GM |
Took a while to get here. I'm thinking of having the art book feature a larger version of this. Labels: 3d, CG, Hummingbird, render, Sentinel
Furthering the details somewhat. Still a wee bit to go. Labels: Hummingbird, S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst], Sentinel, Weapons
Getting on the beam smartgun for the S-Gundam which is also used by the Hummingbird. Labels: Hummingbird, S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst], Sentinel, Weapons
The legs have been replaced. What's been put in their stead is a stripped looking frame that seems to allow a bit of movement but not much. The mechanical knees are completely different and now bend a bit farther so that the frame can transform a bit better. Thankfully, the transformation from Waverider to Mobile Suit is made somewhat easier as there are less moving parts. The torso has also been fitted with fuel tanks on the underside. I still have to modify the front pelvic flap. Labels: Hummingbird, Sentinel
