Qubeley: Tail Binder 2

Talk about being a lazy punk. Took a break yesterday and it feels like I was hell-raising. Only now getting to finish the tail binder. Seeing also a strange smoothing error behind the arm controller that I'll have to investigate, as well as some sharpening that needs to be done on the tail.

Qubeley: Head 2

Difficult to get anything done on Tuesdays. Still have the vents on the side of the head and the inner frame of the head, not to mention smoothing out the contour a bit as it seems a bit bent in toward the mid section.

GP01fb: okey dokey

Not a lot of the legs had to be redone at all. Some shrinkage of parts not used and the removal of parts of the frame that looked like the GP01 leg so that the GP01fb leg parts could be put in their place. Not much after that. Then the clown feet. Again, time to move on...

GP01fb: Waist 2

There's most of that.... I left the weapons rack clip in the rear of the waist just in case, even though it seems that when the core fighter is docked, the clip cannot be opened without colliding with the rear boosters. Perhaps something similar to what the gm command or even the Nemo uses would be a better idea.

GP01FB: Arms

Basically the arms are the same as the GP01, just that the shoulder guards are redone for the FB. Not much to see though. Not feeling it today. I'm bushed and I have to start waking up early for marathon training, so this is it for now.

Time has come to move on a bit. Going on to convert the GP01 made before into the Full Vernian GP01FB. The process shouldn't be too difficult as the end result isn't anywhere near as radically different as some of the previous ones have been.

Ex-S: Test 1

For the past few days I've been fiddling around with textures and lighting for testing. The test was full screen and with different settings and a different bake of textures to see if perhaps a frame with a decent amount of detail could be rendered (sufficiently) quickly. In this case the test failed as though the render is OK, the time taken is far too long (15x longer than targeted) and again it's back to the drawing board.

Deep Striker: Smart Beam Gun

Gave the S-Gundam Smart Beam gun a slight changeover. It's a wee bit longer and the body is of a more bulky looking stature.

Deep Striker: Breast Expansion Unit

The organic looking protrusion from the chest is basically the same mesh as what I made for the Ex-S, just elongated and rounded out a lot more. I probably need to straight edge some parts just to make it look like it's gripping the chest a bit more. The I-Field emitter is a bit larger than the Ex-S version and is centered a little more on the front plate.

Deep Striker: Raydome

Kinda there. The raydome sits on a mounting shelf on the boosters in the rear, but I'm not 100% sure of what it looks like in more than a couple of angles at the moment so I'll move on to what I can see clearly. The raydome is in a temporary position as it is.

Making it to the Ex-S just kind of made me think that the DEEP STRIKER could be do-able. Most of the objects look simple, it's just a matter of using every picture I've found for it. Probably wont be perfect but it should be fun.

And so starting simple. This is the start of large disk radar-dome (raydome?) mounted on the backpack. Actually, I think it's mounted on something else which is then mounted on the backpack. I'll have to figure that out. But this is basically a modification of the Sentinel Smart Gun's raydome.

Ex-S: Legs

The leg boosters are in place as are the INCOM systems on the knee appendage. Have to smooth it out a bit more and fiddle with the angles on the INCOM arms as they look a bit off.

Ex-S: Boosters

Created the boosters in the back when I made the Hummingbird. Of course, the latter has a modified booster which puts a mechanical system in place of the fuel tanks in the booster casing, ultimately aiding in transformation. In this case I just reverted to the booster I created before the Hummingbird's boosters. This means that the fuel tanks are back in place.

Ex-S: Gun Mount Waist

Moving along swiftly I guess. I think the rotating arm may be a bit too large, but it's gettin there. Since the gun is mounted in the front, the side mounts no longer need to exist.

Fitting the I-Field generator on the chest and over the front cockpit. Interesting that it fit so well right off the bat. I figured I would have had to rescale it at least a little.
