Deep Striker: Test 1
Going to have to move on soon as time is running thin. Still not done with this guy though. Quite a bit left to do and fix. A shame that I can't continue for the time being. Labels: Deep Striker

The boosters are probably rotated back too far right now. I'll get to that. Still have a bit to go until the boosters conformal pack is finished. Labels: Deep Striker
or whatever the section is that fits on the rear area of the Deep Striker's lower boosters.... Giving them the old start. Labels: Deep Striker
This one's a bit tough. Though it seems to fit on the waist area (after removal of the Ex-S's gun arm and anchor) it doesn't seem to sit right. Still working on it. Labels: Deep Striker
Getting around to the parts for the waist and all. Some of these concepts are bizarre looking.... Labels: Deep Striker
Gave the S-Gundam Smart Beam gun a slight changeover. It's a wee bit longer and the body is of a more bulky looking stature. Labels: Deep Striker, Weapons
It's probably not correct. I'm fairly sure that I have to make it a bit "thicker". But still, at least something is "holding" the cannon and raydome. Labels: Deep Striker
The organic looking protrusion from the chest is basically the same mesh as what I made for the Ex-S, just elongated and rounded out a lot more. I probably need to straight edge some parts just to make it look like it's gripping the chest a bit more. The I-Field emitter is a bit larger than the Ex-S version and is centered a little more on the front plate. Labels: Deep Striker
I'm fairly sure that the cannon looks ok on its. But with no mounting in place at the boosters it looks a bit silly just floating there. Still working on it as usual. Labels: Deep Striker
...Yeah, the shapes are indeed simple, but getting them to look like the images is a bit more difficult than I thought. So it's going slowly. Labels: Deep Striker
Starting on that cannon. I'm hoping it wont be too bad as it looks like a lot of simple shapes. Labels: Deep Striker
I think the sensor might be a bit too big but it's attached to the arm at the moment. Labels: Deep Striker
It's hard to choose which images would show the correct detail. Even Katoki's own images are slightly different every time, so detail will probably be snaked off of whatever I find on the net. Anyway, working on the arm mounted multi-sensor. Labels: Deep Striker
Kinda there. The raydome sits on a mounting shelf on the boosters in the rear, but I'm not 100% sure of what it looks like in more than a couple of angles at the moment so I'll move on to what I can see clearly. The raydome is in a temporary position as it is. Labels: Deep Striker
Making it to the Ex-S just kind of made me think that the DEEP STRIKER could be do-able. Most of the objects look simple, it's just a matter of using every picture I've found for it. Probably wont be perfect but it should be fun. And so starting simple. This is the start of large disk radar-dome (raydome?) mounted on the backpack. Actually, I think it's mounted on something else which is then mounted on the backpack. I'll have to figure that out. But this is basically a modification of the Sentinel Smart Gun's raydome. The end of the start list is here. This one I'm thinking will take me some time. Again, I don't have much time lately to get far, but the heads aren't usually so bad which is why I've "started" quite a few in the last few days. Since I'll have a few to work on at the same time it should be easy to maneuver myself around different models depending on the time I have. This is instead of coming home from work late and thinking "wow, no time today to work on the legs of some machine" or anything like that. Though it spreads me thin, it also keeps it so that I'm always working on SOMETHING. And so, the Ex-S. The machine on the left (above) is the Ex-S while the right is the not so decked out "S-Gundam". It is a fully modular design capable of transforming from a system of smaller flying machines into the Mobile Suit. By now this concept is nothing new to gundam fans. Probably actually boring. So the mesh will be able to transform into the above modules. In a future-proof sort of twist I wanted to also get down the S-Gundam BST which is very much like the Hummingbird is to the Zeta Plus. Finally, at the end of the modeling cycle for the above, I wanted to get the DEEP STRIKER system as well, which is a mobile weapons - hit and run - system very much like the DENDROBIUM ORCHIS or to a lesser extent the HAZEL -RAH 2nd Form And another head gets the start gun..... This one will take a while I'm sure. Labels: Deep Striker, Ex-S, S-Gundam, s-gundam [bst], Sentinel |
